About Us
Offspring International Limited (OIL) was formed in 1991 to provide a dedicated mooring systems service to the offshore industry worldwide. Specialising in single point buoy and deepwater mooring systems, OIL is able to provide completely, integrated, mooring solutions and components.
Based in Birmingham, UK, and with a subsidiary office in Laguna Hills, California, OIL is headed by Nigel Grainger and David Rowley, and a dedicated team of mooring professionals, bringing over 100 years experience in offshore mooring lines and systems. OIL staff are active members of the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) where it has contributed to Single Point Mooring best practice. OIL is also involved with the oil and gas industry's JIP deepwater mooring committee.
OIL is the worldwide agent for Lankhorst Ropes Offshore Division part of the Royal Euronete Group for Single Point Moorings and Deepwater Moorings. From its US office, OIL coordinates all sales and marketing activities in the USA for both SPM and deepwater mooring applications.

The factory covers some 3,600m² production facilities together with 2,400m² storage area. In addition to rope production machinery, the factory includes a large SPM make-up and storage area reflecting the factory's increased SPM production capacity.
The facility is supported with over a decade of experience and expertise from the former business of Quintas & Quintas Offshore. Modern production and testing equipment permits all the following activities to be undertaken in-house:
