To improve the durability of our mooring hawser thimbles they are encapsulated in polyurethane to provide additional protection to eyes and splices. 

Thimbles

Cast SPM Hawser Thimble – 11” - 24” circumference rope

• Made of cast ductile steel the shackle connects by pin or body, and has to be encapsulated. It is not reusable.

Tubular Hawser Thimble – 12” - 24” circumference rope

• Made of cast steel, the thimble only accepts the shackle pin. It is not encapsulated or reusable.

Bellmouth Hawser Thimble – 10”- 12”, 15”-16”, 18”-21” circumference rope

Made of case steel, the thimble only accepts the shackle pin. It is robust, heavy and reusable.
