Offspring International’s partnership with Lankhorst received a record number of single point mooring (SPM) hawser orders in 2025. Offspring works with terminals across the world, helping them ensure mooring safety during tanker offloading operations by advising on and supplying hawsers which meet the ongoing operational and environmental needs of their mooring.
“Thanks to our customers for their continued support,” said Mark Brooks, managing director, Offspring International. “We are delighted that Offspring International’s combination of quality hawsers and the dedicated service we provide with our long-term partners Lankhorst keeps existing customers returning as well as attracting new ones. As global demand for hawsers continues to be high, Lankhorst has recently introduced additional production capacity; however, we would still encourage operators to contact us as early as possible to ensure we can accommodate their timelines.”
OCIMF 2025 Compliant Hawsers
All SPM mooring hawser ropes offered by Offspring International, including Lankhorst GAMA 98, Lankhorst Double Braid 32/64 Brand and Lankhorst Astraline, are fully compliant with the latest OCIMF 2025 (2nd Edition) ‘Guidelines for the Purchasing & Testing of SPM Hawsers’ from the Oil Companies International Marine Forum, which superseded OCIMF 2000.
Developed by an OCIMF Working Group, including contributions from Lankhorst and Offspring International, the OCIMF 2025 guidelines provide the latest guidance for mooring hawsers to better support manufacturers and terminal operators in determining best practice and specifications required for each mooring.
